About Vesper

Pavement care for Vesper properties

Vesper began to form in the early 1850s. In the 1870s two men built a sawmill on Hemlock Creek, and a store and blacksmith shop followed. The post office opened in 1878, and the village was named for the vesper sparrows native to the area. A wildfire in 1894 burned the mill and 23 houses. A creamery opened in 1898, the Vesper Brick and Tile Factory in 1902, and the village incorporated in 1948.

Small cracks turn into bigger repairs when water gets in and freezes. Fixing them early, then sealing the surface, is the plain way to make asphalt last. Most driveways do best with a new coat every two to three years.
