About Arpin

Pavement care for Arpin properties

The first village of Arpin started around 1890, when the John Arpin Lumber Company built a sawmill on Little Hemlock Creek. The Arpin family came from Quebec and had been logging in this part of Wisconsin since the 1860s. A railroad built its depot where it crossed the road that is now County N, and the stores and homes gradually gathered around it. In 1901 the first five families arrived in an agricultural settlement started by a Milwaukee aid society for Jewish families from Europe.

Wisconsin winters push water into every crack, and freezing and thawing pries them wider. Sealcoat protects the surface from water, sun and weather, and crack filling covers the openings the sealer cannot bridge. Most driveways do best with a fresh coat every two to three years.
