Asphalt sealcoating in Wautoma, WI

Wautoma is the county seat of Waushara County, and it calls itself the Christmas tree capital of the world.

About Wautoma

Pavement care for Wautoma properties

The Kirk Company of Tacoma, Washington, ran the Wautoma plantation of more than 10,000 acres of Christmas trees starting in 1953. The city has three separate areas, two of them surrounded by the Towns of Wautoma and Dakota, and the third and largest straddling the line between them. On August 29, 1992, an F-3 tornado struck the area, killing 2 people, injuring 30 and causing more than $5 million in damage. The Wautoma Municipal Airport serves the city and the Waushara Argus is its newspaper. The 2020 census counted 2,209 residents.

A county seat serves the farms, tree plantations and lakes around it, so courthouse-area parking and downtown lots sit alongside long rural drives. Gravel and asphalt drives both need regular care after a hard winter.

What we do

Services for Wautoma homes and businesses

A Wautoma driveway usually needs a short list of things done in the right order: repair, fill, seal. We walk the surface with you and write down what it actually needs. A lot in Wautoma that carries daily traffic wears from the entrances first. We fix potholes and patches, fill cracks, seal the surface and restripe, and plan the order so one visit does as much as possible.

Sealer needs dry pavement and mild weather to cure, so we plan each job around the forecast and tell you how long to keep cars off. Wisconsin winters push water into every crack, and freezing makes it worse. Filling cracks and sealing the surface before the cold sets in gives that water fewer ways in.
