About Waupun
Pavement care for Waupun properties
Seymour Wilcox was the first settler on this stretch of the Rock River, and the town was founded in 1839. The name comes from the Ojibwe word Waubun, which means the east, the morning and the dawn. The first town election in 1842 was held at the Wilcox home, and eleven votes were cast. The Milwaukee and Horicon Railroad reached Waupun in 1856, the library association formed in 1858, and the city received its charter in 1878.
Asphalt wears down from sun, water and winter weather. Filling cracks early keeps water out of the base, and a protective coat slows the wear. A fresh sealcoat every two to three years suits most driveways.

How often should I reseal my asphalt?
Most driveways do best with a fresh sealcoat every two to three years. Parking lots with heavier traffic may need attention sooner. We look at the surface and tell you where it stands.
What do I need to do before you come?
Keep cars off the area on the day, and tell us about anything we should know, like sprinklers or a gate. We go over the rest when we confirm the day.
