Asphalt sealcoating in Melvina, WI
Melvina is a small Monroe County village named for a miller's wife.
About Melvina
Pavement care for Melvina properties
The story began when Vernon County miller Charles A. Hunt came home from the Civil War and sold all his interests in that county. He spent the money on 300 acres in Monroe County, including the present site of the village, built a mill and persuaded other families to settle. He named the settlement Melvina for his recently deceased wife, Amanda Melvina Hunt, born Ray. The 2020 census counted 93 residents.
With fewer than a hundred residents, jobs here are single driveways, farm entrances and quick repairs. The mill history is a reminder that rural roads and drives here have carried work traffic for generations.

What we do
Services for Melvina homes and businesses
For homes in Melvina we start with the driveway as it is. Cracks get filled with hot-pour rubberized sealant, low spots and potholes get repaired, and then the surface gets its protective coat. For businesses in Melvina we handle the whole lot together: repairs, crack filling, sealcoating and fresh line striping, so stalls, fire lanes and crosswalks look right once the work is done.
- Asphalt sealcoating
- Crack filling
- Line striping
- Pothole repair
- Patch work
- Gravel driveway installation
- Asphalt maintenance
- Parking lot maintenance
Sun and weather wear the surface down over time, which is why most driveways do best with a fresh coat every two to three years. Freeze and thaw cycles are hard on asphalt here. Sealcoat protects the surface from water, sun and weather, and crack filling handles the openings the sealer cannot bridge.
