About Rock Springs
Pavement care for Rock Springs properties
When it was founded it was called Ableman, for Stephen Van Rensselaer Ableman, who settled there in 1851. The railroad has been a major influence on its growth. The village is surrounded by cliffs of Baraboo Quartzite and lies just south of Van Hise Rock in Ableman Gorge, a formation that University of Wisconsin-Madison professor Charles R. Van Hise used to explain how structural geology works. The 2020 census counted 327 residents.
A very small river village has homes and a few lots among cliffs and bluffs. Hillside driveways here need good drainage so water does not run across them into the cracks.

What we do
Services for Rock Springs homes and businesses
For homes in Rock Springs we start with the driveway as it is. Cracks get filled with hot-pour rubberized sealant, low spots and potholes get repaired, and then the surface gets its protective coat. For businesses in Rock Springs we handle the whole lot together: repairs, crack filling, sealcoating and fresh line striping, so stalls, fire lanes and crosswalks look right once the work is done.
- Asphalt sealcoating
- Crack filling
- Line striping
- Pothole repair
- Patch work
- Gravel driveway installation
- Asphalt maintenance
- Parking lot maintenance
Sun and weather wear the surface down over time, which is why most driveways do best with a fresh coat every two to three years. Sealer needs dry pavement and mild weather to cure, so we plan each job around the forecast and tell you how long to keep cars off.
