About Plain
Pavement care for Plain properties
The area was first known as Cramer's Corners after four Cramer brothers who arrived in the early 1850s, and later as Logtown. A post office was proposed in 1858, and Plain formally became a village in 1912. The origin of the name is rumored to be a tribute to a shrine in Austria, but writings of the time say the village was called Plain because its people were plain people. The Old Franklin Township Historical Society keeps a museum in the former town hall.
A small village on a state highway has a few business lots and many homes with their own driveways. Highway frontage means lots see salt and plows, which is hard on the surface.

What we do
Services for Plain homes and businesses
For homes in Plain we start with the driveway as it is. Cracks get filled with hot-pour rubberized sealant, low spots and potholes get repaired, and then the surface gets its protective coat. A lot in Plain that carries daily traffic wears from the entrances first. We fix potholes and patches, fill cracks, seal the surface and restripe, and plan the order so one visit does as much as possible.

Sun and weather wear the surface down over time, which is why most driveways do best with a fresh coat every two to three years. Good timing matters: pavement has to be clean, dry and above the temperature the sealer calls for. We pick the day and talk through it with you before we start.

Do you serve small villages like Plain?
Yes. Call 608-548-1169 and we will set up a free estimate.
How often should I reseal my asphalt?
Most driveways do best with a fresh sealcoat every two to three years. Parking lots with heavier traffic may need attention sooner. We look at the surface and tell you where it stands.
What do I need to do before you come?
Keep cars off the area on the day, and tell us about anything we should know, like sprinklers or a gate. We go over the rest when we confirm the day.
