About Packwaukee
Pavement care for Packwaukee properties
The town was named for the Winnebago Chief Packwaukee and was platted in 1850 with a post office. The name is traced to the Ojibwa for shallow land, the Potawatomi for it is shallow, and, according to a pioneer missionary, an Ojibwa word for forest opening. Settlers arrived in 1849, among them E. Pettengill, E. T. Older, C. G. Barker and Jesse Older. In 1881 a railroad line was built to connect the Montello Granite Company quarry with Packwaukee and the Wisconsin Central Railroad. A depot moved here in 1884 burned to the ground at 3 a.m. on January 11, 1907. The town had 1,469 residents in the 2020 census.
A lakeside and rural community has driveways that run toward the water and long access drives. Low ground and lake effects are the issues to watch, so we look closely at drainage.

What we do
Services for Packwaukee homes and businesses
For homes in Packwaukee we start with the driveway as it is. Cracks get filled with hot-pour rubberized sealant, low spots and potholes get repaired, and then the surface gets its protective coat. For businesses in Packwaukee we handle the whole lot together: repairs, crack filling, sealcoating and fresh line striping, so stalls, fire lanes and crosswalks look right once the work is done.

Freeze and thaw cycles are hard on asphalt here. Sealcoat protects the surface from water, sun and weather, and crack filling handles the openings the sealer cannot bridge. Good timing matters: pavement has to be clean, dry and above the temperature the sealer calls for. We pick the day and talk through it with you before we start.
