About North Freedom

Pavement care for North Freedom properties

The name is rooted in the ideal of freedom and in the village's position north of the Baraboo River. The village had 603 residents in the 2020 census. North Freedom Elementary School opened in 1902 and was the only elementary school in the Baraboo School District built more than 30 years before 1976. A new elementary building came into use in 1991. Before 1961 and 1962, when the Baraboo School District absorbed the smaller districts, people outside the city of Baraboo paid tuition to send children to Baraboo High.

A village with its own elementary school has a school lot, a few business lots and homes along quiet streets. School lots do best when work is planned for the summer.

What we do

Services for North Freedom homes and businesses

A North Freedom driveway usually needs a short list of things done in the right order: repair, fill, seal. We walk the surface with you and write down what it actually needs. A lot in North Freedom that carries daily traffic wears from the entrances first. We fix potholes and patches, fill cracks, seal the surface and restripe, and plan the order so one visit does as much as possible.

Sun and weather wear the surface down over time, which is why most driveways do best with a fresh coat every two to three years. Good timing matters: pavement has to be clean, dry and above the temperature the sealer calls for. We pick the day and talk through it with you before we start.
