Asphalt sealcoating in McFarland, WI

McFarland is a Dane County village on Lake Waubesa, with U.S. Route 51 as its main road toward Madison.

About McFarland

Pavement care for McFarland properties

William Hugh McFarland established the village in 1856. Early industry included wheat and tobacco farming and shipping ice and fish from the lake to Chicago. The Lewis Mound Group of Woodland period burial mounds is in Indian Mound Park, and after World War II McFarland became a residential community for Madison.

Because the village is largely residential, the work is mostly driveways: sealcoating to protect them, crack filling before it, and patches where edges break down. A few small commercial lots along the main road need striping.

What we do

Services for McFarland homes and businesses

A McFarland driveway usually needs a short list of things done in the right order: repair, fill, seal. We walk the surface with you and write down what it actually needs. A lot in McFarland that carries daily traffic wears from the entrances first. We fix potholes and patches, fill cracks, seal the surface and restripe, and plan the order so one visit does as much as possible.

Wisconsin winters push water into every crack, and freezing makes it worse. Filling cracks and sealing the surface before the cold sets in gives that water fewer ways in. Sealer needs dry pavement and mild weather to cure, so we plan each job around the forecast and tell you how long to keep cars off.
