About French Island
Pavement care for French Island properties
The island is surrounded by French Slough, French Lake and Lake Onalaska on the west and the Black River and Richmond Bay on the east. Two parts of the dam that forms Lake Onalaska connect to it. The Town of Campbell voted on May 19, 2026 to incorporate as the Village of French Island, 1,493 votes to 30, and the state made it official on May 21, 2026. The 2020 census counted 4,284 residents. The island is reached by the I-90 Mississippi River Bridge and by the Clinton Street Bridge, and the French Island Generating Plant stands at its south end.
With thousands of residents on a low island, there are plenty of home driveways and small business lots. Standing water is the concern on low ground, so we look closely at drainage and fill cracks before they take in more.

What we do
Services for French Island homes and businesses
For homes in French Island we start with the driveway as it is. Cracks get filled with hot-pour rubberized sealant, low spots and potholes get repaired, and then the surface gets its protective coat. For businesses in French Island we handle the whole lot together: repairs, crack filling, sealcoating and fresh line striping, so stalls, fire lanes and crosswalks look right once the work is done.
- Asphalt sealcoating
- Crack filling
- Line striping
- Pothole repair
- Patch work
- Gravel driveway installation
- Asphalt maintenance
- Parking lot maintenance
Sealer needs dry pavement and mild weather to cure, so we plan each job around the forecast and tell you how long to keep cars off. Wisconsin winters push water into every crack, and freezing makes it worse. Filling cracks and sealing the surface before the cold sets in gives that water fewer ways in.
